Since the beginning of the 21 st century, there was a rapid development in electronics industry and more enterprises began to enter to this industry.Up to now,the market competition becomes more fiercely, enterprise profitability become lower, product quality requirements became more harshly. In such cruel competition environment, enterprises need to develop new products continously which could meet market demand. The source of product quality, product design, plays a decisive role. So,enterprises gradually focus on product design, its control and optimization.C company is a collection of injection, molding, stamping for the integration of electronic product. In this paper,we research on the console project of C Company by drawing lessons from quality function deployment(QFD)and failure mode and effects analysis(FMEA),to build a control model of product design and quality control. The first, using the idea of the house of quality by four steps to represent a shift from customer demand to the development of parts of product, and fig out the weight degrees of design elements. The latter,to analyze potential failure models of product, including consequences of potential fault, the frequency of the potential failure, and the extent of the fault was found. Then calculate PRN of these three elements, and implement improvement measures for the potential failures whose PRN values are more than the standard ones,so as to achieve the goal of product design optimization. The research model is applied in console project of C company, instructing its product design, and finally effective positively. At the same time, the management method in this paper has a certain guidance and reference value for manufacturing on the quality management of new project.
