Black holes have attracted great attention from theoretical physicists since they were proposed.They have been hot research objects for decades.Hawking radiation of black holes promoted the birth of thermodynamics of black holes,which is the first time brought about a connection between general relativity and quantum mechanics,and pointed out a possible way for people to explore the quantization of gravityIn recent years,the black hole thermodynamics of AdS(anti-de Sitter)space-time has become a research hotspot.In this paper,we mainly study the thermodynamics of AdS black holes in extended phase space and the efficiency of holographic heat engine which is using AdS black holes as working substance.The main contents is divided into the following chapters:Chapter 1 briefly introduces the basic knowledge of black holes and black hole thermodynamics.In this section,we mainly introduces the research history of black hole physics and laws of black hole thermodynamics,the theory and latest progress of AdS black hole thermodynamics.Chapter 2 briefly introduces the research of holographic heat engine.The concept of holographic heat engine was put forward by Clifford V.Johnson in 2014.The principle of holographic heat engine is to use AdS black hole as the working substance of heat engine,and we can use it to explore the thermodynamic properties of AdS black hole.Holographic heat engine efficiency formula has been widely used to verify the modified theory of black hole linearity and black hole thermodynamics.In this chapter,we take RN-AdS black hole,Kerr-Newman-AdS black hole,BTZ black hole and 2-D black hole as the research objects,establish the holographic heat engine as the research method,calculate their efficiency when they do rectangular cycle,and analyze the conclusions.This paper verifies the applicability of Johnson's rectangular cyclic efficiency formula for static AdS black holes and explores its applicable conditions for rotating BTZ black holes.Finally,the existence of the minimum observable scale in quantum gravity theory is verified by studying the rectangular cycle efficiency of a two-dimensional holographic heat engine.Chapter 3 gives a summary of this paper and prospects for future research work.
