In this thesis,we have investigated the black hole solutions in the infinite derivative theory of gravity and the black hole thermodynamic properties from the modified metric. In general relativity, one can derive the field equation by variating the action with respect to the metric. Then for the black hole solutions, the thermodynamics can be analyzed and the temperature and entropy can be obtained. When higher-order curvature terms have been added to the action, they usually bring modified terms to the original gravitational field equation and thus affect the black hole solutions and the corresponding thermodynamic properties.First,we introduce the gravitational field equations in this gravitational theory;after that,we solve the black hole solutions perturbatively around the Schwarzschild metric and get the modified metric caused by the higher-order curvature terms. We further deduce the modifications to the black hole temperature and entropy. Our research clarifies several problems existing in this direction, and can improve the understandings towards infinite derivative gravity.
