In the past 60 years,a large number of forest have been built in desert grassland areas where there was no forest or shaolin forest Scientific evaluation of their ecological functions and benefits is the basis for effective protection and rational construction of forest.The purpose of this study was to evaluate the ecological function of elm and poplar forest in desert steppe of yanchi county,ningxia by investigating the structure of bird community,classification of birds,and the influence of tree species and area size on the resting of birds.Survey in July 2018 to October 2018,in the existing northern desert grassland area of anhui and ShaBianZi Village ditch village,choose the single small forest,the forest tree,elm,and poplar forest of all three processing and three to repeat for a total of 18 samples,every other week for a system investigation,6 times and photography to the naked eye observation were conducted,and the accurate classification and identification of birds,on this basis,the analysis of elm piece of poplar forest bird community composition and structure,Lin is elm forest and poplar forest bird community structure difference.The main research results are as follows:(1)a total of 9 orders,14 families and 20 species of birds were observed in the elm forest,and the largest number of bird species was found in the small forest area.Among the 20 species recorded in the small forest,there were 9 species in 6 families of passerine,accounting for 30%of the total number of birds recorded,and 11 species in 8 orders and 8 families of non-passerine,accounting for 70%of the total number of birds recorded.Insectivorous birds were also the largest in the small forest area,accounting for 55%of the recorded insectivorous birds.Shannon-wiener refers to the highest tree in elm forest,followed by middle forest and the lowest single tree.The highest Pielou index was in single tree area,followed by medium forest area,and the lowest was in small forest area.Simpson index was highest in single tree area,followed by medium forest area,and lowest in small forest area.The shannon-wiener index,Pielou index and Simpson index in the elm small forest and middle forest area have significant differences from the single tree area of elm.(2)a total of 9 species of birds in 4 orders,8 families and 9 species were recorded in the poplar forest,and the largest number of bird species were found in the small forest area.The same number of bird species(6 species)were recorded in the small and medium forest areas,both more than in the single tree area.Only passerine birds were recorded in the single tree area.Among poplar trees,the largest number of insectivorous birds were found in the forest area,which was 1 more than that in the forest area.The shannon-wiener index was highest in poplar forest,followed by small forest,and the lowest was single tree.The area with the highest Pielou index is the middle forest area,and the single tree area is equal to the small forest area.Simpson index is highest in single tree area,followed by small forest area,and lowest in medium forest area.(3)the total survey results of elm forest show that the number of birds,species richness and proportion of insectivorous birds are higher than that of poplar forest.The change of elm forest area has a significant impact on the number of attracting bird species,and the number of attracting bird species in the small elm forest is the highest,while the change of poplar forest area has no significant impact on the number of attracting bird species.The occurrence frequency of sparrows and magpies was the highest in each investigation of elm and poplar forests of different areas.The insectivorous birds,such as dai sheng and red-footed falcon,found in the observation of birds in the elm sheet forest,were not found in the observation of birds in the poplar sheet forest.Conclusion:forest construction in desert steppe area is a balance between resource carrying capacity and ecological function.From the perspective of the effect of sahel forest on bird resting or perching,elm forest is superior to poplar forest in function,and small forest has good resource-function benefits.Elm has a large crown width and strong adaptability,and its life cycle and sand prevention effect in desert grassland is better than that of poplar,which is the first thing that should be protected and constructed in desert grassland.
