A Study On The Cultural Connotation Of Animals In The Wu Zang Shan Jing

The book Wu Zang Shan Jing is passed down for Yu,Yi,and the present examination of it is written during the Warring States era,it is likely that on the basis of some ancient map,according to the period of Xia and Shang since the oral or written historical legends and fairy tales.Therefore,its book is not all the author of the Warring States imaginary imagination,but can partly reflect some of the cultural phenomena in the early to Xia Dynasty,but because the content of the book after successive generations of deletion and collation,it is difficult to completely distinguish according to the Times,so use the "ancient period" to generalize.In this paper,we select the records of animals in the Wu Zang Shan Jing and divide them into three categories:firstly,only animals that have been briefly introduced in the Wu Zang Shan Jing,including animals that have only recorded names,and animals that have briefly described their physical characteristics and habits;the second is the animal with certain functions,including those with individual functions,A group functional animal and an animal with both of these functions;the third is the animal associated with God,including the animal image of God itself and the animals used in God's rituals.Through the study of the text of animals in the Wu Zang Shan Jing,we can find out the social,political and economic situation and thinking concept of some ancestors in the ancient period.From the point of view of political life,a unified regime has appeared in ancient times,but the clan still has a lot of power.Its political center is the area contained in the Zhong Shan Jing and is capable of radiation affecting the surrounding area,the area contained in the Bei Shan Jing and the Dong Shan Jing is near the sea,while the area contained in the Xi Shan Jing is inland,and the area contained in the Nan Shan Jing is sparsely populated.The climate in ancient times was warmer and moist than modern.From the point of view of economic life,the most important source of income for the ancestors in the Xi Shan Jing and Bei Shan Jing in the ancient period was animal husbandry,which became an important source of income for the ancestors and the hunting economy remained in the social economy.From the perspective of the relationship between man and nature,people have initially begun to master the laws of nature,but also produced a preliminary concept of classification,but has not yet distinguished themselves from the concept of animals.At the same time,people in nature are still weak,for snakes,and tigers,leopards and other beasts are very afraid.From the ideological point of view,the ancient period has produced a simple medical system,in the functional determination of animals is also a mixture of witchcraft and practical experience.In addition,the ancient period has appeared the philosophical concept of yin and yang duality opposites.From the point of view of social life,the ancestors of the ancient period have been able to master and use fire skillfully,but for the infectious disease,concentrated outbreak of the epidemic has no ability to control.
