| The idea of local knowledge has been highlighted in the transition from academic science to post-academic science.This new concept of knowledge stands on the opposite side of the pursuit of universal knowledse,so it is suitable as an analytical perspective to study the knowledge system outside the modem scientific system.The knowledge about typhoon in ancient China has a unique position in the traditional knowledge system.Although previous studies more or less involve the knowledge about typhoons in ancient China,they lack a systematic investigation.Therefore,this paper hopes to analyze the typhoon knowledge of ancient China from the perspective of local knowledge.The point of local knowledge is that knowledge is alwavs generated and argued in the specific context.This paper will focus on the specific connotation of this concept.The second chapter first presents the whole picture of Chinese ancient typhoon knowledge based on historical data,including the origin of ancient typhoon knowledge and the analysis of its basic structure.In the third chapter,the context which ancient typhoon knowledge generated is further broken and analyzed with the cognitive context,cultural context and ecological context as the representatives.Then,the fourth chapter examines how the ancient Typhoon knowledge was effectively argued through the practice scene,community and power from the perspective of local knowledge.Finally,this paper will start with the open characteristics of local knowledge to analyze the transformation of ancient typhoon knowledge and the process of its eventual replacement. |
