The interaction of various features in a geographical scene is constantly evolving and there are complex geographical processes.By portraying the geographical process, expressing and analyzing the geographical features associated with the geographical process and the interaction mechanism of the geographical process within the geographical scene has always been the focus of geographic information science research. However,in the past, modeling methods with geographic features and geographic events as the core emphasize the results, pay attention to the state of geographic features at a certain moment, and cannot effectively express the spatial pattern, evolution process and inter-features of many geographical features and geographical processes in geographical scenes. The interaction mechanism, that is,the occurrence of the phenomenon and the cause of the occurrence of geographical phenomena in the geographical scene, lack of expression of the interaction mechanism of the geographical features. Therefore, the expression and modeling of dynamic geographic processes has attracted the attention of many GIS researchers and geographers.Ontology theory and its tools provide a useful way to portray the geographical processes, providing a possible way for the clear expression of geographical processes. In the context of geographical scenes, this paper designs the geographic ontology framework and model for geographic process by studying the concept and relationship of geographic process, geographical scene and geographic features. The process ontology is built below the geography scene in Protege. The specific research contents and results are as follows:(1)On the basis of discussing the concept and classification of geographic features and geographical processes in geographical scene, analyze the differences between the expressions of geographical features, geographic processes and geographic scenes and traditional geographical processes and geographic features.Through deep analysis of the connotation of the three, explore the content of the complete semantics of the three, and analyze the internal relationship of the three, and build a conceptual model of the relationship.(2)Based on ontology theory, the ontology framework and ontology concept relationship model are constructed by analyzing ontology classification and hierarchy, hierarchical relationship, and relationship between hierarchy and ontology.(3)Based on the ontology construction principles and methods, based on the existing thesaurus, upper ontology, etc.,corresponding to the ontology framework and ontology conceptual model,Protege is used to construct the ontology of geography process with the core of geography process expression as the core.(4)Taking the soil erosion process as an example, through the process of soil separation, soil handling, soil deposition, and the process, state, participants, semantics and scenes in the process, the evolution process and internalization of soil erosion The mechanism is expressed, and an ontology query instance is constructed to retrieve the soil elements, soil erosion process and soil erosion scenarios, which verifies the feasibility of the evolution process and interaction of the process-oriented ontology model proposed in this paper.
