| Historical geography is a discipline that studies the existence,occurrence,evolution and dynamics of geographical phenomena in history.The change of administrative divisions is one of the contents of historical geography research.Its evolution process is a three-dimensional process that changes with plane space and time.In the past,most traditional vector data models were used to express the temporal and spatial changes of administrative divisions.However,the data structure of this model is complex,the processing algorithm is difficult,and a large amount of spatial data redundancy is generated.To solve this problem,this paper proposes a kind of problem.The grid data model is used to store administrative space-time data.Based on the data of the time series and the boundary line data in the CHGIS data,the spatial extent of the province in Fujian Province is selected as the study area.The time range is from the Western Han Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty(201 BC to1911 AD)in ArcGIS.The Geodatabase database is used to store the administrative space-time data,and the space and attribute information of the administrative division data is stored by designing the space table,the timetable,the attribute table,and the administrative membership relationship table,and the relationship between the data tables is constructed to better manage and Query historical administrative division information.The grid unit with the same shape and the same size is used as the data carrier of the administrative division,and its administrative name,time attribute,spatial attribute and administrative affiliation are stored.One administrative area can be represented by a set of several grid units..Following the concept of “live life” of place names proposed by CHGIS,the time period from the beginning to the end of a place name is called the record survival period,which solves the problem of storage on the time axis.The results show that the grid data model stores the administrative space-time data,and the spatio-temporal data with three-dimensional features is stored in the two-dimensional relation table.This data structure is simple and clear,and the operation is convenient.Based on the time and space database of administrative divisions constructed in this paper,the historical administrative division information of SQL Server language is used to query thehistorical administrative division information.Finally,(1)Fuzhou City,Fujian Province,at the four time nodes in 220 AD,907 AD,1279 AD,and 1911 AD The state of administrative divisions;(2)the status of the continuous attribute of the grid unit in Fuzhou’s prefecture-level city on the timeline and its changing process;(3)the scope of the historical space within the territory of Fujian Province named “Chang Le Fu” and Its corresponding attributes;(4)the parent administrative area named “Huiji County” within the area of Fujian Province;(5)the spatial existence status and attribute information of the administrative division of the “East Vietnam Kingdom” in 933 AD.Based on the administrative divisional space-time database,it is also possible to statistically analyze and visualize the spatio-temporal data of administrative divisions at different scales,and finally obtain:(1)under the grid unit scale,the administrative divisions of the spatial locations of the nine prefecture-level cities in Fujian Province The historical change process,and thus the regular characteristics of the evolution of historical administrative divisions at specific spatial locations;(2)The cumulative lifetime of Fuzhou and Quanzhou in the period from 201 BC to 1911 AD at the city(prefecture)scale(3)At the provincial scale,the evolution of historical administrative divisions in Fujian Province from201 BC to 1911 AD in the past 2100 years.The grid data model is one of the main methods used by the geography community to standardize spatial data.It is also one of the effective methods for multi-source data fusion.It can study a variety of thematic data at different scales.In this paper,the grid data model is used to store the spatial and temporal data of administrative divisions,which provides a quantitative analysis method for historical geography research.It can quantitatively and statistically analyze the active degree and evolutionary characteristics of historical administrative divisions at a fixed spatial location. |
