Geological Characteristics And Prospecting Direction Of The Weizigou Gold Deposit In The Jixi County, Heilongjiang

The Weizigou gold deposit is located in the middle part of the Laoye Rangeapophysis (Jihei Geosyncline), western side of the Mudanjiang deep fault,northwestern side of the Dunmi fault. The outcropping units in the area arethe Lower Proterozoic Mashan group (Mashan group, Jiantang group and Liumaogroup) and Quaternary. The exposed magmatic rocks are less in the area, anddeveloped only late period of Variscan granitoids and Yanshanian prophyrygranidiorite, porphyry granite and vein rock. The structures are composedof fold structure and fault structure. The Helenanshan syncline occurred asNE-and SW-trending. Migmatitic granite exposed in the both ends of southand north, and Mashan group in the middle part of the Helenanshan syncline,the middle of which is cutted by the NW-trending Xipenggou fracture,Diaolinggou shear fracture and SN-trending Tongtian-Qingshan extensionfracture.Four orebodies and mineralized bodies were discovered in the mining area.The mineralized bodies occurred in the central part of Helenanshan syncline,and hosted in migmatitic granite from contact zone between Liumao group,Jiantang group and migmatitic granite. The orebodies are vein in shape, NE-and NNE-trending strike, dip towards southeast. The ore mineralogy containslimonite and magnetite, with minor pyrite, hematite, galena and sardinianite. The gold mineral mainly consist of nature gold, with minor electrum. Thegangue mineral are maily composed of feldspar, quartz, muscovite, phlogopite,kaolin and epidote, with minor zircon and garnet.The texture of ore mainly present as subhedral-xenomorphic granulartexture, cattaclastic texture, relict metasomatic texture, pseudomorphtexture and spottedtexture. The structure of ore are mainly disseminatedstructure, massive struture and vein struture.According to tectonic position, geological characteristics, indicationfor prospecting and ore-controlling factors for the Weizigou gold deposit,we confirmed that next prospecting direction of the deposit and its periphery.The Weizigou gold deposit, hosted by the Late Proterozoic migmatitic granite,is associated with migmatization and genetic type belongs to migmatizationhydrothermal type.Based on analysis of metallogenetic geological conditions and summaryof indicator for prespecting, we delineated three metallogenic prospectingarea, and proposed prospecting direction for the depth of mining area.
