The particle size parameter is an important index for analyzing the formation environment of sedimentary rocks.The accurate particle size parameters are of great significance for the subsequent particle size analysis,sedimentary environment discrimination and hydrodynamic condition analysis.At present,the calculation of the particle size parameters of clastic rocks is mostly carried out by microscopic measurement.There are many problems such as long measurement time,high input manpower and accuracy is greatly influenced by human factors.The clastic rock particle size analysis method based on digital image processing technology proposed in this paper can obtain accurate,objective and consistent measurement results.This method can greatly increase the measurement speed,reduce the workload and improve the accuracy.The research content of this paper mainly includes two aspects: digital image processing and particle size parameter calculation.A series of processing on the slice image of clastic rock mirror is performed by Matlab image processing technology.The first is to grayscale the slice image to obtain the grayscale image,followed by the comparative analysis of the debris particles and the matrix,and the OTSU method is used to threshold the grayscale image to separate the debris image from the background to obtain the particle size analysis.The desired binarized particle image.The adaptive median filtering method is then used to filter the particle image to eliminate image noise.Finally,the particle image is subjected to morphological processing to smooth the edges of the particles and fill the pores in the particles.Statistical analysis and calculation were performed on each type of granularity data obtained by Matlab.First,the particles in the image are counted statistically to obtain the particle size of the clastic rock.The direct calculation method is then used to calculate various particle size parameters(including average particle size,standard deviation,skewness,and kurtosis)of the clastic rock.Calculate the roundness of the clastic rock and the content of each component by using information such as the area of the crumb particles and the position of the center of mass.Finally,the sedimentary environment of clastic rocks is analyzed according to the Sahu discriminant formula,and the sedimentary environment determined by the field geological phenomenon is compared to verify the indoor work results.The particle size analysis method of clastic rock based on Matlab can quantitatively obtain the particle size data of the crumb particles,calculate various particle size parameters,obtain the data of clastic rock composition and roundness,and then analyze the sedimentary environment and water of clastic rock.Information such as dynamic conditions.The method has higher efficiency and accuracy than the traditional particle size analysis method,and has good practical value.
