Abstract/Summary:
In recent years,with the research and development of hypersonic vehicles,people have further study on hypersonic aerodynamics.The real gas effect is a key issue that cannot be ignored when studying hypersonic flight.In this paper,the effect of real gas effect on the hypersonic blunt wedge flow field is studied by direct numerical simulation(DNS).The direct numerical simulation of the hypersonic blunt wedge flow field is carried out by using the calorimetric complete gas model,the variable specific heat model(equivalent specific heat ratio method and direct flux splitting method)and the chemical equilibrium gas model.The flow field data calculated by the calculation model of the real gas effect and the flow field data calculated by the calorimetric complete gas model are compared and analyzed.Then the specific influence effect of the real gas effect on the hypersonic blunt wedge flow field is obtained.The results show that the variable specific heat model and the chemical equilibrium gas model reflect the same trend of the real gas effect which causes the flow velocity and temperature in the high temperature region of the blunt wedge head to decrease,the intrawave density increases and the thickness in shock layer is reduced.However both of the calculation models have less influence on the intra-wave pressure.In addition,the effects of real gas effects in the chemical equilibrium gas model at higher Mach numbers are more pronounced.
