The research of thermo-chemical non-equilibrium flow and magnetic wave propagation in plasma plays an important part in the study of the gas dynamics, aerodynamic thermal physics and the blackout problem in communication.it also have important application value in hypersonic vehicle thermal protection, target detection and recognition and radar communication.Based on the research at home and abroad, This thesis makes a study of numerical simulation of the hypersonic flow field and analyses the characteristic of the plasma. This paper is mainly divided into two aspects: on the one hand, numerical simulations of the flow field around the hypersonic vehicle is developed based on FASTRAN software, and this deed to verify the feasibility of the software, besides, work over the flow field characteristics of different target and get hold of the result of the model under the different flight condition. on the other hand; Based on a reasonable formula, we analyze the characteristics of plasma sheath and RCS around the target during the flight. This provide the theoretical basis for the related Engineering. The main work including:(1) Simulation of thermal chemical non-equilibrium flow field past hypersonicvehicle using FASTRANBased on the FASTRAN software. In the use of finite-rate chemical reaction model. We respectively presents the numerical simulation and analysis of non-equilibrium flow field of blunt cone of experimental models 、 the blunt taper model of triangle and the pellet model in the experiment of Aero-physics target. Emphasis on the effect of the finite-rate chemical reaction model, boundary condition, and other factor on the non-equilibrium parameters(temperature, pressure, the electron number density, etc.) of the calculated overall flow field.(2) Analysis of the plasma parameters during the flow field of aerocraftFigure out the plasma parameter--the plasma frequency and the plasma collision frequency distribution utilize the data in the flow field. And show out the chart of the two parameters. We choose the the right expressions to show the results after debating the difference each other. Calculate the RCS of aerocraft with the data in the flow field and analyse RCS in the different condition.
