The ecological processes and their relative influence on patterns of species richness have been a major topic in ecology.Based on the unique geographical location and climate,Horqin Sandy land,with ecosystem that influence by frequently farm activities,is a typical area to study the patterns of species richness and the impact factors in sandy land ecosystem.We aim to analysis the patterns of species richness and their relative influence of Ecotone in China.We describe the relationship between species richness of different life forms and ecological process,and explore the relative importance of regional and local processes to plant species richness in Horqin Sandy land.At the same time,a study of plant patterns and its impact factors in Horqin Sandy Land will guide the scientific management of vegetation and important species and protected species under the background of global change.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)We surveyed 47 plots of one ha.There were 132 species of plants which belongs to 91 genera and 33 families.Among them,there were 109 species of herb,belong to 78 genera and 29 families,and 23 species of woody,belong to 18 genera and 12 families.The flora character was mainly the temperate zone.(2)With the increase of longitude,local species richness of plants which showed significant spatial heterogeneity,decreased first and then increased(P<0.001),while the latitude was less affected.The Longitude patterns of different life forms of plants are similar.(3)The disturbance factors were the main factors affecting plant local species richness.For local species richness of overall and herb plants,there was no significant correlation between them and climate factors.(4)Geographical patterns of local species richness were determined by local processes and regional richness,in Horqin Sandy land.The relative importance between local and regional processes may vary because of the filtering of disturbance on local species richness.
