Landslide refers to the phenomenon of soil sliding on slopes under certain conditions.It has the characteristics of wide distribution range,high frequency of occurrence,fast movement speed and serious disaster loss.China has 9.6 million square kilometers of vast land,the terrain is high in the west and low in the east.The precipitation is unevenly distributed during the year,and the annual variation is large.The water resources in the east are less in the west,the south is more in the north,and the geological structure is complex.Development and evolution have provided conditions.Recent years,science and engineeeing have developed step by step,and the quality of life of the people has been greatly improved.However,the human activities that followed have been fierce,the rapid construction of engineering measures,and the imperfect warning mechanism for disaster prevention have gradually become more and more serious.China's research on landslide disasters has existed for a long time,but due to special reasons,there are still some deficiencies in the statistics and organization of landslide disaster data.Reports are not timely,and there is a shortage of information.Based on the above reasons,the author collects relevant information about landslide geological disasters on various geological information websites,and organizes the landslide information data statistical database by arranging relevant time,location and scope of landslide disasters,and uses ArcGIS software for data analysis.And carry out regional planning for landslide disasters,analyze the characteristics of landslide hazards in the area where landslides are densely-occurring----the Sichuan-Chongqing region,and conduct risk assessment on the geological disaster representative points in the region to The disaster prevention and mitigation work played a part of guiding role and provided theoretical support for improving the landslide warning mechanism.
