Intermittent control of chaotic systems and its application in secure communication is one of the hot topics in dynamics and cryptography.Based on Lyapunov stability theory,the intermittent control scheme is designed to study the synchronization of non-autonomous chaotic systems with parameter mismatch,the projective lag synchronization of time-delay chaotic systems with parameter mismatch,and the intermittent control in hyperchaotic systems and their applications in secure communication.The main contents are as follows:Firstly,the synchronization of non-autonomous chaotic systems with parameter mismatch is studied by using the intermittent control with sinusoidal state error feedback.The considered parameter mismatch exists in the external excitation of the system.Some synchronization criteria are deduced by the Lyapunov stability theory and the Gerschgorin disc theorem,and the corresponding synchronization errors are analyzed.Furthermore,numerical simulation verifies the effectiveness of the control strategy.Secondly,intermittent control strategy is used for achieving projective lag synchronization between two delayed chaotic systems with parameter mismatch.Different form the commonly used single-periodic control,the control period adopted in this paper is two-periodic,where a complete control period consists of two sub-periods.Some synchronization criteria in the form of algebraic inequalities are derived by way of the Lyapunov stability theory,and the synchronization error bounds are estimated and analyzed.Furthermore,main factors influencing errors bound,including the parameter mismatch,time delay and transmittal delay,are also discussed in several remarks and corollaries.A time-delay Chua's circuit system is taken as the simulation example,and the numerical results verify that the present method are valid.Finally,a method of using hyperchaotic system as information encryption carrier in secure communication is proposed.The synchronization of hyperchaotic system is realized by designing simple intermittent control.Hyperchaotic system and color image are used for encryption via intermittent control.The typical Lena image is taken as an example for simulation,and the corresponding security analysis is carried out.Numerical simulation experiments verify that the scheme has better security.
