Civil aviation transport has become the most powerful and effective means of passenger transport and freight transport.Civil aviation routes are the lifeline of civil aviation transport and are among the most important elements of civil aviation transport.The rapid growth of civil aviation transport market,as a result of development,leads to the continuous increase of the traffic volume,the more perfect route network structure and the balanced layout.However,because of different transport markets,competitors and operating environment,the routes should be regarded as different "Strategic Business Units",in the form of"Line by Line",to monitor and management by the related operators and managers.Based on this,it is worth studying how to evaluate the operation efficiency of China's civil aviation routes.And the coastal area is the most developed area of civil aviation transport.The study on the route efficiency in this area is of crucial significance for the exploration of route operations and promotion of development of China's civil aviation transport.In this paper,the multi-period network DEA method is used to evaluate the efficiency of the overall,production sub-processes and service sub-processes of 160 civil aviation routes in coastal area of China from2011 to 2015.And the influencing factors of routes efficiency are also explored.Firstly,on the basis of summarizing and reviewing the relevant literature,the research content is confirmed and the research innovation points are refined.Secondly,the efficiency theory and evaluation methods are briefly expounded,and the network DEA method is selected as the main method by comparative analysis.Thirdly,the route operation is divided into production sub-processes and service sub-processes,and the status quo of civil aviation routes in the coastal area is analyzed.Fourthly,the multi-period network DEA method is used to evaluate the overall efficiency and the two sub-processes efficiency of 160 civil aviation routes.Fourthly,the multi-period network DEA method is used to evaluate and analyze the efficiency of160 civil aviation routes in the coastal area from the total efficiency and the two sub-processes.Fifthly,the panel data model is utilized to analyze the influencing factors of efficiency in terms of market scale and industry behavior.Finally,according to the results,the operation measures and safeguard measures are proposed to improve the route efficiency.The results of this paper show that,on the whole,the overall efficiency and service sub-processes efficiency of civil aviation routes in coastal area of China are lower,while the production sub-processes is higher,and the inefficiency of service sub-processes is the source of overall inefficiency.In particular,the reasons for efficiency of each route are different,which can be divided into the production sub-processes,the two sub-processes and the service sub-processes phenotypes.The existence of parallel high-speed rail,airport operation and route distance are the main factors affecting the efficiency of production sub-processes.The population size,the existence of parallel high-speed rail,the route distance and the carrier load are the main factors affecting the efficiency of service sub-processes.On the basis of empirical analysis,some suggestions are put forward from different perspectives according to the main lines of operation measures and safeguard measures.
