The Yellow River Delta is one of the three major estuaries in China. The area of ??saline-alkali land is widely distributed, mainly chloride-based clay-alkaline soil, with high salt content, poor soil fertility, low soil porosity and soil compaction. With the increasing population, the pressure on land resources is increasing. The management of saline-alkali land can alleviate the demand pressure of land resources and promote the sustainable use and development of saline-alkali land, which is significant to promote the sustainable development of agricultural economy. In this study, silicate mineral was selected as the modifier of saline-alkali soil, which mainly improved the soil agglomerate of saline-alkali soil by adding silicate minerals, thereby improving the porosity of saline-alkali soil, soil permeability and plant-to-soil.Absorption of moisture and nutrients increases biological activity. At the same time, the effects of curing time on the effect of silicate minerals on improving saline-alkaline soil were investigated, and the effect of adding silicate mineral improvement test on saline-alkaline soil(EC<1000 ?s/cm)after salt washing was compared.Pot experiments were carried out to explore the effect of saline-alkali soil improvement on the germination of crop seedlings, which provides a basis for the improvement of saline-alkali land in the Yellow River area. The main findings are as follows:(1)In the silicate mineral addition ratio screening test,it was found that the addition of different silicate minerals can increase the content of soil aggregates at different grain sizes, and the content of water-stable aggregates increased to varying degrees.Minerals can significantly increase the water stability of different fractional aggregates.Among the three silicate addition ratios of 5:1,10:1,and 50:1,the improvement effect of 5:1 and 10:1 is better than the improvement effect of 50:1.It was found that the addition of silicate minerals increased the grain size of saline-alkali soil, effectively increased the content of water-stable aggregates, and improved the characteristics of ablation of the original water-stableaggregates in saline-alkali soil(That the > 0.25 mm water stable aggregate content in saline soil is almost zero.)(2)It was found that silicate minerals effectively increased the porosity of soil, improved the permeability of soil moisture and nutrients, and reduced the bulk density of soil. The porosity of the experimental treatment of HM10:1 was 63.73%,which was 18.06% higher than that of the CK group. The treated porosity of HM5:1 was 65.47%,which was 19.8%higher than that of CK group. The original state of the saline-alkali soil was improved and the soil became loose.(3)The germination test of cabbage, lettuce, spinach and other vegetables on the improved soil showed that the soil alkalinity didn't decrease or increased, but the effects on the germination rate of the crop were small, which only delayed the germination time of the crop.It was also found that the germination rate of the salt-modified soil was almost the same as that of the non-salt alkaline soil. The germination rate of the salt-alkali soil was the highest in desalting and silicate minerals. The germination rate of HM10:1(saline-alkali soil + silicate mineral)and WM10:1(washing salt + silicate mineral)treatment group reached more than90%,and the CK group had no germination, and the lettuce was tested every time. Each treatment has germination, and the lettuce may have a certain salt and alkali resistance. Therefore, the improved saline-alkali soil can improve the germination rate of the crop, and the improvement effect on the saline-alkali soil is remarkable.
