The study of the interaction between floating bodies and waves is one of the main research subjects in the field of ocean engineering.The floating body will move under the environment influences,which is needed to know the response of floating bodies in waves in the design so that the floating body with stable working state.Hence,it is very significance to predict the motion response of floating body.In this paper,the motion response of a floating body under wave action is analyzed,and the stability and response of the floating body is studied by comparing the experiment and numerical results.The numerical model is established which is according to the experiment of the floating body in the wave tank.The model is based on computational fluid dynamics software which using overlapping grids,fluid domain volume,six free body and multi-body system dynamics.The accuracy and applicability of the model are verified by comparing the experimental and numerical results.Then,the motions response of four and five level sea conditions is predicted,and the influence of oblique waves and floating body structure on the motion response is analyzed,and the stability at all levels of sea states were calculated,and the optimization scheme of floating body is presented.With the increase of sea condition,the motion of the floating body is violent,and the amplitude and period of motion response are increased.The motion response of the floating body varies with the wave incidence angle under the action of oblique wave.The stability can be achieved in the calculation of sea conditions after the stability calculation.If the center of mass or the center of buoyancy of the floating body is changed,it can be optimized to make the motion more stable.By the numerical simulation and experimental study of the interaction of the floating body and the wave,the motion response and stability of the floating body under different sea conditions are analyzed,which has important reference significance for the design and research of the floating body.
