The study area-Beichagou is located in north of Shizuishan,Ningxia.Geotectonics is located in the Helan mountain fold fault belt of the Ordos western margin of the Ordos block in the North China block.The strata belong to the Helan mountainous area of the western margin of Ordos in the North China stratigraphic area.In this paper,the geological characteristics of the area are comprehensively analyzed through field investigation and laboratory research,and the ore-bearing horizons of the study area are delineated by using geophysical,geochemical and remote sensing information.By analogy with the regional mineral characteristics of Helan Mountains and through the analysis of tectonic trajectory,the metallogenic age of Rujigou basalt is preliminarily inferred,and the prospecting prospect area is studied by comparing strata,structure and secondary alteration.The main achievements are as follows:(1)The ore-hosting horizon in the study area is Paleoproterozoic biotite plagioclase gneiss of Liutianggou Formation of Zongbieli Group.The concealed gold orebodies in the study area are all located in the alteration zone of biotite plagioclase gneiss,and the exposed gold orebodies are controlled by ductile shear zone.Limonite mineralization and silicification are intense in favourable metallogenic areas.(2)The study area experienced the formation of rift basin,regional compression nappe and magmatic hydrothermal activity.After many complex geological evolution processes,through pyritization,limonitization,silicification and other hydrothermal activities,precious metals were enriched in the altered zone of limonized biotite gneiss,forming gold orebodies and gold mineralized bodies in Beichagou area.The gold deposits in the study area were preliminarily inferred.It should be altered rock type gold deposit.(3)The gold orebodies in the study area are mainly vein-like,lenticular and layered,with poor continuity.The orebodies are mainly distributed along minor secondary faults in ductile shear zone,i.e.the host structure is a discontinuous deformation secondary brittle fracture and fracture zone.It is inferred that the Beichagou gold deposit should be a gold deposit formed by the transformation of late magmatic hydrothermal erosion into mineralization in ductile shear system,and it is a typical ductile shear zone.The post-shear gold deposit,while the secondary brittle structure of the shear zone belongs to the contemporary structure.(4)The geophysical,geochemical and remote sensing anomalies in the Haermuteng area are analyzed.The geological background of the study area is similar to that of the study area.At the same time,a large NW-trending ductile shear zone is formed in the area.Finally,the prospecting prospect area of the Haermuteng gold deposit is determined.
