The Geological Characteristics And Prospecting Prediction Of Wenduhua Graphite Deposit In Siziwangqi,Inner Mongolia

In this paper,Wenduhua Graphite Mine in Siziwangqi,Inner Mongolia,By studying the regional geological background and metallogenic geological conditions in this area,the geological characteristics and prospecting criteria of the deposit are summarized,and the prospecting prediction is carried out,which is conducive to guiding the further prospecting work in this area.The geotectonic location of the study area is located in the North China Plate（IV）,the North China Block（IV₂）,the Yinshan Uplift（IV₂¹）,and the Bayan Obo Middle-New Proterozoic Rift Belt(IV₂^1-1).The outcrop of strata in the region is incomplete,the tectonic movement is intense,and the main tectonic line is nearly East-West to northeast;Multi-stage magmatism provides sufficient heat source for mineralization in the area;The superposition and transformation of multi-stage structural traces provides a place for mineral migration,enrichment and sedimentation.Therefore,the regional metallogenic geological conditions are good.A total of three ore bodies were found in the Wenduhua graphite deposit,all of which are concealed ore bodies.The graphite ore body is located in the Jianshan Formation（Chj）strata of the Baiyun Obo Group,and contains metamorphic rock series such as carbonaceous mica schist and graphite schist.The ore is mainly composed of graphite mica schist and graphite quartz schist,and the surrounding rock is mainly composed of regional metamorphic rocks.Graphite ore bodies occur in a certain layer,with layer control characteristics,the shape is mainly layered,layer-like,and the ore body shape is consistent with the surrounding rock.The fold structure is developed in the study area,and the shape of the ore body is greatly affected by the fold structure.Graphite is mostly 2-10 micrometer scale-like,some 10-50 micrometer,a few larger than 50 micrometer scale-like in the form of star-scattered disseminated,roughly semi-directional uniform distribution.Therefore,the deposit has the typical characteristics of a regional metamorphic rock type crystalline graphite deposit.Through the analysis and research on the geological conditions of the ore deposit,the prospecting mark is summarized:The distribution area of the Jianshan Formation（Chj）of the Baiyun Obo Group can be used as a regional prospecting mark;The graphite mica schist and graphite quartz schist in the Jianshan Formation（Chj）in the study area can be used as a direct prospecting mark.The high polarizability and low resistivity anomalies measured by IP can predict the existence of concealed ore bodies and are an indirect prospecting indicator for this type of minerals.Graphite ore has a semi-metallic luster,a slippery feel,and easy soiling is an important prospecting indicator.Prospecting prediction:The DJ1 anomaly in the study area,with large distribution area and high anomaly intensity,should be the focus of future exploration work;The low resistivity and high polarization bodies in the study area are caused by graphite deposits and continue to extend along the south-west direction to the outside of the study area;Through the controlled source audio frequency magnetotelluric sounding,there may be another layer of thick graphite ore body in the depth of400-600 M.The scale is considerable.The drilling depth should be increased in the future.In short,through the close cooperation of geological and geophysical methods,a variety of exploration methods can be used to achieve better prospecting results in the study area.
