Diode Pumped solid state Laser are widely used in various fields such as laser industrial processing,laser weapons,laser ranging,optical fiber communication and laser surgical scalpel,it plays an increasingly important role in various fields including industry,military and medicine.Over the years,various Nd3+-doped laser crystal materials have been favored by researchers as important working materials.Compared with the traditional Nd3+-doped crystal materials,Nd3+-doped disordered crystal materials have attracted more and more people's attention due to the broadening of their absorption and emission lines.Nd:LMA(LaMgA111O19)is a typical disordered crystal material.It has the general characteristics of wide emission spectrum of disordered materials,which is conducive to obtaining wavelength tunable laser and realizing ultrashort pulse laser by mode-locked laser technology.In addition,the high doping concentration of Nd3+ in Nd:LMA crystals is conducive to thin-film laser operation,and the excellent thermo-optical and mechanical properties of Nd:LMA are conducive to high power laser output.In this paper,Nd:LMA crystals are studied theoretically and experimentally for CW and passively Q-switched lasers in 1 micron and 1.3 micron bands.The continuous wave outputs of 1055 and 1082 nm were first realized respectively.When the output wavelength is 1055nm,the maximum output power is 3.01W,the slope efficiency is about 48.9%;when the output wavelength is 1082nm,the maximum output power is 2.63W,the slope efficiency is about 43.1%.The threshold conditions of laser oscillation are analyzed theoretically.Using a saturable absorber Cr4+:YAG crystal with an initial transmittance of 90%as a Q-switched switch,a 1055nm passive Q-switched laser,1055nm and 1082nm dual-wavelength passive Q-switched lasers were realized,and the process of passive Q-switched was simulated according to the Q-switched rate equation.The maximum average output power,the highest repetition frequency,the narrowest pulse width,the maximum single pulse energy and the peak power of the output pulse are respectively(1.49 W,42.4 kHz,18.4 ns,35.1 ?J,1.91 kW)and(1.22 W,53.03 kHz,17 ns,23.07 ?J,1.36 kW).Finally,the BK7 etalon was inserted into the resonator cavity to change the loss,the single-wavelength pulse output of 1082nm was obtained.The maximum average output power,the highest repetition frequency,the narrowest pulse width,the maximum single pulse energy and the peak power are 0.31 W,32.2 kHz,20.8 ns,9.6 ?J,0.46 kW.A passively Q-switched laser of 1.3?m is realized by using a saturable absorber Co:ASL crystal.The threshold value is 1.026W,the corresponding maximum output power is 1.23W,and the slope efficiency is about 21.1%.After inserting Co:ASL crystal,the maximum output power,maximum repetition frequency,narrowest pulse width,maximum single pulse energy and peak power of the output pulse are 0.246W,24.66kHz,82ns,9.97 ?J,122W.Finally,the wavelength-tuning experiment of 1.3?m was carried out,the v-shaped cavity was constructed,and the fused silica was inserted into the cavity for wavelength tuning,the maximum width of the output tuning wavelength is about 16nm.
