With the support of the "Network Powers"?"Broadband China"?"Internet +" and a series of development policy,the development of optical communication industry in our country is sustained and strong,and the market demand is growing.Wavelength Division Multiplexing(WDM)is an important technical innovation in the fiber communication industry,and is the enabling force for further development of the optical networks.Semiconductor laser is one of the most important devices in the fiber communication system.Wavelength switchable semiconductor laser has the capability of dynamic wavelength switching upon particular demand,and also plays an important role in emerging technologies such as broadband optical communication system,intelligent optical network,automatic configuration of wavelength,wavelength routing and wavelength conversion,there is a widely application in the construction of the WDM all-optical network system This paper mainly studies based on V-coupled Cavity tunable semiconductor laser application,including ITLA component design,verify the wavelength switch function,set up and validation reconfigurable optical switching routing system,etc.And teste the experimental results.In this paper,we probe into the development of optical communication industry at first,discusse the development trend of global optical component industry and forecast the market prospect,give a brief introduction of wavelength tunable semiconductor lasers,and make a comparison of several kinds of tunable semiconductor lasers,and thus leads to v-shaped cavity tunable semiconductor lasers are used in this study.Then,the basic stucture and working principle of the V-coupled cavity laser is introduced in detail,and analyse the wavelength switching mechanism of the v-shaped coupled cavity laser.With optimal design of the coupling phase and coupling coefficient of the half-wave coupler and the cavity length difference between the two cavities of the laser,we can obtain large range of wavelength switching by Vernier effect while maintaining very high side-mode suppression ratio(SMSR)in each channel,which provides theoretical support for subsequent experiments.This paper mainly discussed two aspects of the application based on V-coupled cavity tunable semiconductor lasers:The first,the implementation of ITLA tunable laser system,according to the standard of filtering principle and filtering characteristics,make the use of electrical feedback principle of Wavelength locking,and design the Wavelength locking optical system,formulate and standardize the process the Locker,test the spectra of ITLA component and the eye diagram under the condition of 8.5 Gb/s rate,and finally,verify the performance of the device.Second,about the high-speed reconfigurable optical switching system.According to the theory of high-speed reconfigurable optical switching network and Pilot tone modulation,set up the V-coupled cavity tunable semiconductor laser wavelength automatic switching system,implement and verify the channel switch function;Test the calibration data and spectrum of AWG&SFP modules,construct the reconfigurable high-speed optical switching routing network experiment system according to the principle,realize the signal allocation and restructuring.Namely regardless of the wavelength of the input signal carrier,as long as the wavelength is within the scope of the Arrayed Waveguide Grating(AWG),all input signals can be converted to the corresponding optical carrier,and pass from the corresponding output port.And then set up the error code test system,under the condition of 8.5 Gb/s rate,PRBS Length is 31,from the test,we know that the error rate was 0 after 6 minutes when the power is-16dBm.And then set up the eye-graph test system,under the condition of 8.5 Gb/s rate,and the Extinction Ratio(ER)is 2.36dB,which met the expectation.The innovation of this paper is implement the Integrated Tunable Laser Assembly and build a high-speed reconfigurable optical network.All in all,this paper provides a basis for the wide application of coherent optical communication technology by exploring the production of Locker in ITLA devices.By exploring,the 4×4 rapid reconfigurable optical switching routing system,which lays the foundation for the all-optical routing technology in the future.
