Capillarity is of great significance in physical science study and practical engineering.This paper will take elliptic cylinder particles for example to study capillary interactions between anisotropic particles on shape.It will particularly inspect theoretically the influence on capillary meniscus configuration and capillary interactions made by shape parameter of elliptic cylinder particles,and further study the dynamics of elliptic cylinder particles under the capillary force in flow field.At first,capillary meniscus of elliptic cylinder particles in gas-liquid interface will be inspected through asymptotic analytical method and numerical simulation method by the software SURFACE EVOLVER to find theoretical approximate solution and numerical solution of meniscus configure,respectively.After analyzing deviation and its reason between the two methods,it will study characteristics of capillary meniscus and three-contact line of elliptic cylinder particles.Then,it will get the analytical expression of capillary interaction between elliptic cylinder particles by superposition method according to the asymptotic analytic solution,and analyze the influence on force conditions and motion equilibrium law of elliptic cylinder particles made by ellipse characteristic parameter.At last,based on the analytical expression of capillary interaction,it will study the function of capillary forces performed in the aquatic vegetation's capturing effect on floating particles,thus derive the motion equation of floating elliptic cylinder particles under capillary forces in one way fluid-solid coupling flow field and get the motion law through numerical solution.After comparing the differences between capillary capture and direct capture,influence on capture effect made by the change of flow field and ellipse shape parameter can be analyzed.This paper makes a systematical study on capillarity between elliptic cylinder particles and static capillary forces and initially explores particle dynamics of capillary forces,thus lays a foundation for study of more complex anisotropic capillary problems.
