Taoyuan Copper is located on the west side of the Zanhuang Metamorphic Core Complex in the south of the Taihang Mountains,adjacent to the faulted basin of Jingxing.The late last century,Taoyuan mining area had found the copper deposits(points)of more than 30 points.As the relatively low degree of ore research,the genesis of copper,the model of mineralization has not yet clearly understood,making the exploration of copper which was "only see the stars,but not the moon",is no big breakthrough.In order to further explore the genesis of the deposits,summarize the metallogenic regularity,and provide evidence for the direction and basis of the further exploration of the Taoyuan copper mine.Based on the New Deposit Theory,through Remote Sensing Interpretation,field geological survey,stress analysis and U-Pb ages of zircon carried out a more in-depth structural analysis for Taoyuan copper mine,obtained the following understanding and conclusions:1.Based on the measurement,summarization,induction in the sub-basalts,and comparied with the tectonic events,it is concluded that the joints are caused by the Neoproterozoic tectonic activity,and considering the morphological characteristics,Ore level,etc,determine the joints in the Taoyuan mining area is the main ore-controlling structure;2.Ensure the Mesozoic intrusions and hydrothermal activity in the Zanghuang uplift area were exist by field verification the ring tectonic of remote and ages of zircon in ore-veins.3.Combining the Sulfur isotope tests and steam sediments and heavy mineral anomalies characteristics,it is judged that the ore-forming materials of Taoyuan copper deposit are mainly derived from basalt and a small amount from the Nansizhang Formation of the Guantao River Group.4.The distribution of copper deposits(points)is consistent with that of the detachment faults,and it can be concluded that the mineralization of the deposits is formed after the detachment fault,and the detachment fault is formed in the Mesozoic,The formation of deposits is in the Mesozoic;ore-containing quartz veins also exists the zircon in the Mesozoic,therefore,we can determine the Mesozoic magmatic hydrothermal activity in the Taoyuan copper ore mineralization played a key role.5.Ore-forming materials of Taoyuan Copper from the surrounding rock,the main ore-controlling structure is the joint,cracks in the rock,mineralization occurred in the Mesozoic magmatic activity,so that the nearby fluid heating up,extraction,dissolved the ore-forming material from the souronding rock,in the favorable part of the crystallization,precipitation and mineralization,which can be identified Taoyuan copper belongs to the Mesozoic magmatic hydrothermal deposits.6.Based on the analysis of the anomalous zoning characteristics of the heavy mineral and the steam sediments and the analysis of the location of the ore deposits,the author obtains the Yinghepu-Huzhaikou and the Bailujiao-Taoyuan-Huaishuzhuang area,On the verge of basalt veins,there is a great ore-search prospects.
