To investigate the interaction between plasminogen(Plg),lipoprotein(a)[Lp(a)] and GapC on the surface of Sterptococcus agalactiae.,recombinant rGapC and its mutant(rGapC ? K)were used to explore the interaction with enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)and affinity chromatography-binding assay followed by Western blot analysis. The recombinant rGapC and its mutant were expressed and purified from Escherichia coli. The results indicated that rGapC could specifically bind to Lp(a)but not to LDL.The binding capacity of rGapC?K to Lp(a)is significantly lower than that of rGapC.The binding of rGapC to Lp(a)could be significantly inhibited by 200 mmol/L of EACA.1 000 ? g/L of Lp(a)could inhibit the interaction between rGapC and Plg.rGapC could bind to Lp(a)and the C-terminal lysine residue of rGapC was the main binding site..
