Interaction between waves is not only a very common situation in the ocean, but also one of the main problems to be solved in water wave hydrodynamics. The interaction between waves will cause a sharp increase in wave height and further damage to marine buildings.According to the existing research evidence,it is not difficult to find that the nonlinear interaction between waves is inseparable from extreme waves, low frequency waves and wave breaking. The nonlinear interaction between waves can be divided into two categories: one is the resonant nonlinear wave interaction, the other is the non-resonant nonlinear wave interaction. The resonant wave interaction exists in almost all physical fields, including the field of ocean engineering. From the quantum field to the celestial sphere, the resonance phenomenon has always been a focus issue. In 1960,Phillips published the related viewpoint of wave resonance for the first time and discovered the four-wave resonance condition of deep-water gravity waves. The resonance theory gradually became an important factor in understanding the nonlinear effects of waves. The precession resonance phenomenon is a robust energy conversion mechanism discovered by Miguel D.Bustamante et al.in the nonlinear wave turbulence system in 2014.Due to the novelty of the precession resonance theory, relevant theoretical studies are scarce and the superiority of this theory cannot be demonstrated.Based on this research status, the purpose of this paper is to apply precession resonance and related concepts to the numerical simulation of waves, and to verify the accuracy of the precession resonance theory in numerical simulation.First,it introduced and summarized some basic theoretical knowledge including Hamiltonian theory and nonlinear system dynamics;then, introduces the non-hydrostatic model used in the numerical simulation, and summarizes the precession resonance theory developed by Bustamante et al Miguel D.;Finally, the results of numerical simulation verify the previous theoretical analysis process, and perform the necessary error analysis. This article gives a more detailed summary of related research on precession resonance that has just begun in recent years. However, the current theory still has a lot of limitations, which is limited to deep-water surface gravity waves, which needs to be further explored in the future.
