Characteristics Of Tourism Earthscience Resource And Research Of Tourism Development Countermeasures In Nancheng, Jiangxi

Nancheng County is a part of Fuzhou City,Jiangxi Province,P.R.China.It is located in the east by south of the province and the middle by east of Fuzhou City.Its terrain is the higher in the east and west,the lower in north and south,and flat in the middle area,with the highest altitude of 1,176 meters,and subtropical monsoon humid climate.The county was established in 202 BC,as one of the 18 ancient counties seating in the province?Its long history and culture and special geographical environment have embraced its abundant and diverse tourism earthsience resources,featuring such various colorful natural landscapes as “red”,“green”,“blue”,“gold”,and“antique”.As for its cultural legacy,the county is well-known for Magu Mountain Culture,Hongmen Culture,and Jianchang Culture,annually attracting millions of tourists across China.This paper,based on the related theories of geology,geography and tourism,attempts to apply the principles and methods of tourism earthsience resources to conduct a relatively comprehensive and systematic study of the characteristics,the causes,and the distributional laws of tourism earthsience resources in the Nancheng County of Jiangxi Province,and furthermore to carry out detailed classification and evaluation in accordance with the relevant index systems.Firstly,referring to a lot of corresponding literature and reference materials,the research has adopted the field survey and field visits to conduct a in-depth study of the characteristics,causes,and distributional laws of tourism earthsience resources in the county,and thus make a detailed classification and the respective introduction,in line with the technical standards of "Classification,investigation and evaluation of tourism resources"(GB/T18972-2003)technical standards,of these typical resources.Secondly,the comprehensive evaluation and SWOT analysis of tourism earthsience resources in the county have been conducted so as to find out the pros and cons of various factors that are closely related to its tourism development.Finally,the research has made further in-depth analysis and research as to the current status of development and existing problems of these resources in the county.Hence,some possible countermeasures for the tourism development in Nancheng County,in combination of the study of its touring development environment and the characteristics of its tourism earthsience resources,have been put forward in the paper,offering some scientific and rational references and proposals for the decision-makings of the local competent administrative department for tourism.
