An Ecophilocophical Analysis On The Ideological Trend Of Modern Western Anti-scientism

Born in 1930 s,the ideological trend of anti-scientism in contemporary Western society represents a criticism and challenge to science,which let people begin to re-introspect human beings' relationship with nature,science's relationship with society,and the issue of how to judge the value of science.Ecological philosophy,as a world view and methodology,is quite analogous to the ecological thought found within the contemporary Western anti-scientism.This paper aims to carry out a research of related points of view from contemporary Western anti-scientific trend of thought by adopting an ecological philosophical perspective,and by comparing the shared purport of them,explores in-depth about the practical route for science and technology to have a sustainable development and proper applications in the future.As a complex social phenomenon,the contemporary Western anti-scientism sharply points out the drawbacks of science and technology during its process of development.It is common with ecological philosophy in three aspects: first,the opposition of a strict subject-object dichotomy,which corresponds with ecological philosophy's principle of integration;second,during the process of development of science and technology,the importance attached to human beings,is correspondent with the values of ecological philosophy;third,the view of coordinated development between science,economy and environment,is in line with the systematic thought of ecological philosophy.The ecological and philosophical reflection within the contemporary Western anti-scientism,inevitably demands the ecologicalization of science and technology,and the sustainable development of human society with the help of the sustainable development of science and technology.Based on the shared notion of ecological philosophy and contemporary Western anti-scientism,the ecologicalization of science and technology involves inevitably the establishment of a correct value judgment of ecological technology,the construction of a paradigm of the ecologicalization of science and technology,and the realization of the ecologicalization of way of production and life.Its aim is to realize the harmonious cohabitation of nature and human beings,through the forceful advancement of ecological productivity.
