The content of this paper is mainly divided into three parts, first we introduced the working principle and working characteristics of high power semiconductor lasers as well as the requirements of the work environment, then the current and temperature control as two aspects including hardware and software design of high power semiconductor laser control system were introduced and analyzed in detail. Finally through experiments,we verified the detection design of control system,to demonstrate its practicality and effectiveness.High power semiconductor laser is one of the main development directions in the field of semiconductor lasers. Its operation is inseparable from stable current and temperature. The control system designed in this paper is mainly divided into current control module and temperature control module according to its functions. The core of the current control module is a switching voltage controlled constant current source, which is composed of a negative feedback network with an efficient Holl current sampling circuit. The high-speed MOSFET is used as a switch tube to provide an efficient and stable current for the laser. The temperature control module uses TEC semiconductor cooler and corresponding control circuit to control the temperature, and combines fuzzy PID control algorithm to achieve stable and fast control effect. In the control system,STM32 is used as the control core to control each control module in real time and communicate with the host computer. The control system designed in this paper is highly efficient and stable. The devices used are all commonly used electronic components, which not only saves cost, but also achieves predetermined functions. It has good practicability.
