Investigation And Analysis On The Current Situation Of Forest Resources In Dongguan City

This study combined with the second survey data of forest resources in Dongguan City,analyzed the current status of forest resources and ecological conditions in the area,and estimated the forest biomass,carbon reserves,etc.The specific conclusions are as follows:(1)The existing land area of forestry in Dongguan was 51817.5 hm2,and the area of arbor forest land by land type was 28497.4 hm2,bamboo forest land area was 99.2 hm2,shrub land area was 23067.4 hm2,unforested land areawas 4.9 hm2,and nursery land area was 148.6 hm2.According to forest species,the timber forest was 9188.6 hm2,the economic forest was 20690.2 hm2,the special use was 12819.7 hm2,the protective forest was 9119.0 hm2,and the firewood forest was 0.00 hm2.The forest coverage rate was35.62%,and the forest greening rate was 37.34%.(2)The total accumulation of forest living trees in Dongguan was 2858518 m3,among which: the accumulation of arbor forest was 2598787 m3,accounting for 90.91%;the forest accumulation in non-woodland was 28496 m3,accounting for 1.00%;the accumulation of scattered forest was 81 m3,accounting for less than 0.01%;the accumulation of four-sided trees was 231154 m3,accounting for 8.09%.(3)Dongguan had a good forest ecosystem,with a large proportion of forest ecological functions in the second and third grades and a higher degree of naturalness.94.73% of the forests were in a healthy state.The quality of forest landscape resources,forest land quality,and forest land protection were mostly in two or three levels.(4)The total biomass of woodland in Dongguan was 29,153 million tons,the total energy storage was 55.8 billion megajoules,the total amount of carbon storage was 10.2billion megajoules,the total amount of oxygen released from woodland was 27.7 billionmegajoules,and the CO2 absorption of woodland was 28.5 billion megajoules,the total value of forest ecological services in the city was about 69.5 billion yuan.
