Through the investigation of the cause of the accident of the jack up drilling platform,it is found that there is a great correlation with the bearing capacity of the foundation,and the piercing phenomenon of the pile boots is a part of which can not be ignored.The study of the marine environment and geological conditions and the ultimate bearing capacity of the foundation,the depth of the pile and the stability of the platform under different environmental conditions are the key technologies for designing a number of self lifting platforms,and are also an important basis for ensuring the safe operation of the platform under various sea conditions.According to the study of this subject,the representative geological environment,such as soft sediment geology,silt geology and hard rock,is selected for different marine environment and geological conditions.Based on the study of its soil type,strength characteristics and other related physical characteristics,the self gravity load and environmental load condition of the self lifting platform are based on the study of its soil type,strength characteristics and other related physical characteristics.The stability of foundation strength is checked by shallow foundation failure theory,and the stability of the platform under different geological conditions and working conditions is proved to meet the requirements.At the same time,the calculation of the depth of the pile is carried out,and a set of perfect geological conditions analysis and the research process of pile insertion technology are formed.This method can be widely used to evaluate the geological conditions of the sea bottom in the target sea area and to evaluate the status of the simulated inserting pile for different geological conditions.It provides accurate and reliable basis for the design of the geometric shape,structure form,size and bearing capacity of the pile leg pile boots of the target platform.The effectiveness of the method is verified by the calculation and analysis of a 400 ft jack up drilling platform.The application of this method can provide clear and clear initial design input at the early stage of the platform design,which is of great guiding significance for the research and design of the similar jack up drilling platform.
