Returning straw and stubble to the field can effectively improve the content of soil organic matter, the ability of soil water storage and soil moisture conservation, and the sowing quality and the ability of seeding machine to pass. However, high working resistance and high power consumption are still the main problems in current straw returning technology. In this paper, aim to the problem of high power consumption of strong maize's stubble returning.Set Cricket's Incisor Lobe as bionic prototype, designing a new the stubble cutter with bio-mimetic saw base on the structure of common L-type stubble cutter, which can realize reduce drag and consumption. The main achievements are summarized as follows:(1)To explore the application of variable curvature curve in the design of agricultural machinery, and extract its the drag reduction characteristics. The morphology of crickets' maxillary was observed by scanning electron microscope(SEM)and the contour features of the incisors were extracted.By using polynomial fitting method, the curve fitting of crickets' tooth cutters was carried out,and the characteristics of the contour curves of crickets' tooth cutters with variable curvature were analyzed, which provided bionic information for the development of bionic stubble cutters.(2)On the basis of the structure of commonly used L-type stubble cutter, the kinematics and dynamics of cutting process are analyzed.Based on the study of cutting angle of stubble cutter, and the characteristic of variable slip angle of cricket's incisor lobe with variable curvature contour. The optimum profile curve of tooth shape was selected to design and process L-shaped stubble blade with bionic tooth shape.(3)The nonlinear dynamic finite element analysis of the operation process of L-type stubble cutter is carried out by using LS-DYNA software.By arranging the orthogonal test scheme and taking the cutting resistance as goal, the optimal working parameters combination of the commonly used L-type stubble cutter is obtained. On the basis of the optimal working parameters, the cutting performance of two kind of bionic stubble cutters are analyzed by finite element method, which provides a theoretical basis for the subsequent field experiments.(4)In the premise of setting the fore-mentioned optimal working parameters, the field contrast experiment was carried out.The experimental results show that the average torque of the prototype stubble cutter is 299.712N·m,the average torque of the bionic blade A and the bionic blade B is 267.894N·m and 275.843N·m respectively, which is 10.62% and 7.96N·m lower than that of the prototype stubble cutter, respectively. The maximum cutting torque of the prototype stubble cutter is 1204N·m.975N·m and 1047N·m of stubble knife A and B respectively, which were 19.02% and 13.04% lower than that of prototype stubble blade, respectively. In the aspect of operation quality of field contrast experiment, the stubble depth and stubble crushing rate were taken as evaluation indexes, and the technical requirements of stubble crushing and returning machine were compared, both bionic blades and prototype blade met the requirements.
