An important way of neuroscience research is to study the characteristics of neural signals and decode the information delivered by nervous system.Neural signal can be recorded using neural signal recording module,therefore,the neural signal recording module plays an important role in neuroscience research.In recent years,a number of R&D teams at home and abroad have invested a large amount of resources in the development of neural signal recording module,which has achieved good results in related fields.However,with advances in neuroscience research,more stringent requirements have been placed on neural signal recording module,such as the need for wireless data transmission for the neural signal recording experiment in animals with free-motion conditions;The need for low power consumption character for the long-term neural signal recording experiment;The need for small size character for the small size animal's neural signal recording experiment.Against the issue above,this work studied the key technologies of neural signal recording,and achieved a low-power wireless neural signal recording module for small animals The research content in this paper includes: 1)This paper proposed a design scheme of low power wireless neural signal recording module for small animal.The scheme includes an analog front-end amplifier circuit and a wireless data transmission circuit.The analog front-end amplifier circuit is designed using commercial low-power,small size amplifier,that makes the power consumption and size reduced.The neural signal is wirelessly transmitted by an analog wireless data transmission circuit which is constructed by a Colpitts oscillator with low power and high output efficiency.Compared with the digital wireless transmission scheme,the analog wireless transmission scheme has the advantages of low power consumption,small size and simple structure.2)This paper completed the circuit design and simulation for low power wireless animal neural signal recording module.The amplifier circuit's power consumption and size are reduced by a twostage amplification structure which is constructed with low-power,low-noise instrumentation amplifier INA333 and OPA333 op amp.The feedback enhancement effect is achieved by adding a feedback inductor at the input of the Colpitts oscillator,which reduces the power consumption of the oscillator,increases the Q-factor by adding a voltage-dividing capacitor at the output of the Colpitts oscillator,increases the oscillator output efficiency.thus,reduces the module power consumption at the same time,to ensure adequate wireless transmission distance.This paper simulates the circuit in the simulation software,and the simulation results show that the total power consumption of low-power wireless animal neural signal recording module designed in this paper is only 743?W,and can achieve 810 times the nerve signal amplification,the broadband is 0.5Hz~10kHz,which has the advantages of low power consumption compared with the same type of acquisition module.3)This paper completed the low-power wireless animal neural signal recording module performance test and experimental verification.This paper completed the related performance test to the design module,and compared with the simulation results,and the results show that the test data is consistent with the simulation data,which proves the rationality of the design.This paper also made a neural signal recording experiment using the neural signal recording module proposed in this paper,that verifies the practicability of low power wireless animal nerve signal acquisition module proposed in this paper.
