Landslide,as a common geological and meteorological hazard,especially serious in the mountains and loess area.It's difficult to effective prevention because of its complex causes and affected by many factors.Not only a serious threat to human life and property safety,also can bring immeasurable damage to the nature,society,resource,environment and so on.With the expansion of the scope of the human production activities,as well as the unreasonable land use,lead to landslide disaster occurred frequently.Today,the study of landslide stability for almost 90 years,its theoretical research system and the prevention and control measures are also increasingly mature and perfect.This paper is based on the project supported by some Design and Research Institute in Yunnan province,make a systematic study to the the formation mechanism,the stability evaluation and management measures of the landslide of a middle school,find out the landslide formation in the study area,understand the nature of the landslide and the stable situation completely,put forward the reasonable and effective prevention measures,avoid landslide hazard caused irreparable consequences.Under the premise of full investigation of geological aspects,hydrological conditions,the landform and vegetation,earthquake and other basic situation,combined with Geo Studio-slope/w model to ascertain the landslide development situation,spatial distribution characteristics and scale.Select the typical section,using the transmit-coefficient slice method to calculate the stability factor and safety factor in three conditions: II(Weight+groundwater),III(Weight+heavy+rain+groundwater),IV(Weight + water + earthquake).The conclusion is that the landslides(H1 and H2)are in the unsteady state under the various condition on each section.The landslides stand at the phase of wiggly deformation presently and the whole deformation sliding is unlikely,however,the surface soil has collapsed strongly.The landslide slip surface(zone)is gradually formed,it will slide as a whole once the landslide slip surface(zone)linked together without taking some comprehensive prevention and control engineering measures in time and increase the difficulty of governance.Evaluate existing prevention projects also put forward pertinent solutions and suggestions.
