Malthusianism is a school of ideas derived from the political economic thought of the Reverend Thomas Robert Malthus, which describes how unchecked population growth is exponential while the growth of the food supply was expected to be arithmetical. The main content of this theory was put forward by Malthus in the late eighteenth Century and early nineteenth Century, and gradually improved with the pace of Malthus's tour of Europe. After that,it has a significant impact on western ideological circles in the more than 100 years. But since the mid and late nineteenth Century, with the gradual deepening of the influence of Marxism and the popularity of the new Malthus theory of population,Malthusianism has essentially approach death-its historic role seems to be more than its substantive role in the thought of the present society.lt is a population theory which has had an important influence on various disciplines in modern China. For a long time,Although the academic circle has more research on this theory,it pays more attention to the evaluation of its content and its significance. However,it rarely has been studied as a subject of reception history and communication history. In this paper, the social circle of the republic of China is the subject of investigation focusing on its acceptance and dissemination of Malthusian theory.Through the introduction and translation of Malthus's population theory in the social circles of the Republic of China and the demonstration of the main content of this theory by sociologists in the Republic of China, the article tries to systematically demonstrate the acceptance of the theory of Malthus's population on the theory of the population of Malthus in the Republic of China. Not only that, but also through the analysis of textbooks, newspapers, and the annual journal of the Chinese Sociology Community, the social academics in the Republic of China tried to disseminate this theory in many forms while accepting the population theory. Then not only shows the specific course of the acceptance and dissemination of Malthus's population theory in the social circles of the Republic of China, but also hopes to explain why the population theory that has been sent to the museum in the same period of the western world will be accepted by most of the mathematically people in the sociology community and regards it as the basic theory of solving the problem of population in China. The reason for the transmission.
