The sluice is an important hydraulic structure in the water conservancy project.The opening degree of the gate is used to regulate the flow and the water level.Most floodgates in China are porous sluice gates.When the flow volume from the sluice gate is different from the design flow rate,different opening and gate opening numbers of the sluice gate can be set to suit different flow requirements.However,when operating under different opening and number of holes,the flow state and the design flow state must change,resulting in the formation of unstable flow and poor flow state.When it is serious,it will cause the sluice damage and siltation of the sluice building.Sluice operation has an adverse effect.The Dayuzhang Yellow Gate is located by Yellow River in Shandong Province is a porous open sluice.With the continuous increase in the number of years of operation of the project,this sluice has potential safety hazards.The reinforcement of the sluice is reinforced according to the conditions of the original sluice safety appraisal and review.In this paper,taking the flood prevention and reinforcement project of the Dayuzhang Yellow Gate as an example,combined with the theory of sluice and computational fluid dynamics,using numerical calculation methods,the three-dimensional turbulent flow characteristics of porous sluice are studied as follows:(1)Analyze the control equations and turbulence models of three-dimensional turbulent flow numerical simulation of free-river sluice,and provide theoretical basis for numerical simulation.(2)A three-dimensional turbulent flow mathematical model of the sluice lock chamber and upstream and downstream connecting sections was established by Pointwise modeling software,and the established physical model was meshed and checked for grid quality and boundary conditions were set.(3)Fluent software was used to simulate the flow characteristics of the sluice,and the free surface of the sluice was captured using the VOF water-gas two-phase flow model.The standard two-equation model and the PISO algorithm in the eddy-viscosity model were used to perform the simulation.Constant calculations,comparative analysis of flow patterns and swirl distributions with different relative opening degrees and different incoming flow rates are of great significance for formulating a reasonable gate scheduling method.
