For the existing weather forecast web application or mobile phone APP,text,digital,and 2D static graphics are mostly used to display weather information and are not interactive.Users can only get weather in the future and cannot obtain historical weather information.This thesis develops a 3D visualization system for interactive weather forecast based on WebGIS.Aiming at satisfying the public's ever-increasing experience demand for weather forecast applications and meteorological services' urgent need for interactive display of weather forecasting 3D visualization application systems,which makes the public more intuitive and quick access to weather forecast information,so that better decisions can be made.This system is developed by combining the powerful spatial data display capabilities of WebGIS,adopting the most popular free open source cross-platform map framework Mapbox,taking advantage of HTML5 and WebGL technologies in visual rendering of 3D graphics and the convenient and rapid dynamic interaction capability of Ajax technology,as well as exerting the powerful data 3D visualization capabilities of Echarts and Mapbox.The entire process of designing,publishing and accessing the map framework,data acquisition,processing,visualization and interactive display has been implemented.The main work and system features of this thesis are as follows:1.Research on Visualization of Basemap Data of System Map Based on WebGIS and HTML5.Including design and implementation of map base map design and release,map base map data slice,tile map release and access,tile map data scheduling display mechanism,tile map display processing,vector map data display processing,etc.A map framework for visualizing weather data was constructed.2.Based on the visualization technology of Echarts and Mapbox and the 3D visualization capability of WebGL,the key technologies of 3D visualization of weather forecast data are studied.Designed and implemented 3D visualization of weather forecast element data(including weather conditions,precipitation,air temperature,and air quality index)using symbol,3D histogram,3D scatter chart,and3 D bubble chart.And use animation to perform dynamic display of time series.3.The design and implementation of an interactive weather forecasting 3D visualization system based on WebGIS is realized using a three-tier architecture,including data access layer,business logic layer,and presentation layer.4.Based on Ajax,a web asynchronous dynamic interaction technology,the research on interactive weather forecast is conducted.The function of on-demand 3D display of past weather information and future weather forecasts is designed and implemented.Furthermore,the interaction among users and weather data,users and map is realized.The 3D visualization system of interactive weather forecast based on WebGIS not only expands the current visualization technology in the meteorological service field and meteorological service field,but also greatly enhances the user experience and meets the demand of meteorological business departments and the public for the display effect of weather forecast.The thesis concludes with a summary of the work of the system development and existing problems,as well as the main direction of the next step.
