Design And Implementation Of Integrated Navigation Sonar Digital Circuit And Software

The single beam echo sounder and the Doppler Velocity log are widely used in the acoustic navigation system,which plays an important role in ocean exploration.These two devices can compute the velocity and guarantee the voyage safety.Therefore,they have broad prospect in both military and civil areas.Most of current single beam echo sounder and Doppler Velocity log work independently.Therefore,it would need large room to install the energy converter,affecting the hull structure.Besides,the installation process is also complicated.Integrated navigation sonar,which integrates the circuits for transmitting,receiving and digital signal processing and combines the single beam echo sounder and the energy converter of the Doppler Velocity log together,could have the functions of both depth sounding and velocity measurement,making installation easier,saving room.The thesis achieves the design and implementation of the digital circuit of the integrated navigation sonar and software for single beam echo sounder.The digital signal processing circuit of the integrated navigation sonar consists of three DSP,which are used for signal processing,and one CPLD,which is used for generating synchronizing signal serial data retransmission.The main processes for designing the board include DSP selection,circuits design for DSP,AD collection,serial port communication and gain control.The implementation for the software of the single beam echo sounder consists of simulation and programming on DSP.This paper introduces the implementation flow of the software and the corresponding sub-modules,which include acoustic wave transmitting,depth information tracking,gain control,data collection and processing programs,in details.Finally,we test the circuit board and the software,analyzing the results.It is demonstrated that the system can work well and satisfied all the requirements.
