Natural gas hydrate is an unconventional clean energy source with high energy density and large reserve potential. In 2017,the successful trial production of natural gas hydrates was achieved in the Shenhu area of the South China Sea.It became the world's first successful and controllable mining of argillaceous silt type natural gas hydrates, which has enabled China's natural gas hydrate research to a new level. In the field of land-based gas hydrates,China was the first country to discover gas hydrates at mid-latitudes.In 2008,natural gas hydrate samples were drilled in the Qilian area of Qinghai Province. The study of natural gas hydrates in this area has guiding significance for the research of natural gas hydrates at mid-latitudes.This paper takes Muli region as the main research area, explores the basic characteristics and formation mechanism of natural gas hydrates, summarizes the detection methods of natural gas hydrates, and conducts research on the remote sensing methods in the study area, resulting in the possible distribution range of the deposit conditions. And the prediction of the occurrence of the target area, the remote sensing detection method for the gas hydrate in the terrestrial area was summarized. The conclusion of this paper's work is as following:1.This article summarizes the basic characteristics of natural gas hydrates in the Muli area of Qilian Mountains and the source conditions, gas migration, accumulation, reservoirs, and caprocks, and finally formed the formation mechanism.2.Summarize the conventional exploration marks for natural gas hydrates, including geophysical exploration marks and geochemical exploration marks.Combine the basic characteristics of natural gas hydrates in the aforementioned Muli region and the conventional exploration identities of natural gas hydrates, and analyze the gas hydrate reserves regional remote sensing detection logo.3.Calculate the surface temperature, obtain the thickness distribution of permafrost through the empirical formula, divide the permafrost region, determine the gas hydrate storage scope, and obtain a good permafrost environment in the Muli region, and predict that the frozen soil conditions in the northwestern part of the DK-9 and the northern and southern regions of Hala Lake are all good, satisfying the conditions for the occurrence of natural gas hydrates.4.Calculate methane concentration through satellite data and find that the concentration of methane in the Muli region is abnormal, and on the basis of exploring the anomaly of natural gas hydrate methane concentration in Muli region,it is presumed that gas hydrate deposits are most likely to exist in the Qinghai-Tibet and Wudaoliang region.5.Focusing on the Muli region which actually discovers the gas hydrate samples, the remote sensing image data was used to explain and analyze the gas source distribution conditions through the Crosta method, and soil samples were collected from the alteration anomalies areas in the image. In combination with soil spectroscopy and geochemical analysis, the southwestern portion of well DK-2 clearly has more pronounced hydrocarbon anomalies, which is better than the current potential source conditions at the location of well DK-2.The soil spectral analysis method can also obtain the same results as the chemical detection data, which is favorable for determining the location of natural gas hydrate deposits.
