Natural gas,as an important clean energy, has lower pollution and higher energy production compared with other fossil fuels, which can fundamentally improve the environmental quality.Under normal circumstances, natural gas exists in gaseous form, and pipeline is the safest transportation method to transport gaseous materials,so the safety of pipeline is of vital importance.Natural gas hydrate, also known as flammable ice, belongs to organic compounds.Natural gas hydrate is easily formed under low temperature and high pressure. When gas hydrates are formed in large quantities in natural gas pipelines, the risk of pipeline blockage is greatly increased. The blockage of natural gas pipelines often has an impact on production, even serious accidents. Therefore, how to quickly and effectively remove hydrate condensation in natural gas pipelines is an urgent problem to be solved in the petrochemical industry. In view of the above problems, this paper proposes an acoustic excitation based hydrate condensation monitoring and positioning technology for natural gas pipeline and a modern signal analysis method, which can effectively detect and locate hydrate in the pipeline. The main work of this paper is as follows:1.Study the propagation characteristics of sound waves in pipelines.2.Based on this technology,an intelligent detection system for hydrate condensation and leakage in pipelines is established.3.COMSOL multi-physical field simulation software was used to establish a series of simulation models according to field experimental conditions for simulation exploration, which verified the feasibility of this method.4.The system is used to carry out experiments in experimental pipelines.By comparing the results of simulation and experiment,it is proved that this method can locate hydrate or leakage in pipelines with high accuracy.5.In order to analyze the types of reflected signals,an EMD decomposition based feature extraction method is proposed.Experiments show that there are obvious differences between the feature vectors of reflected signals caused by gas hydrate and pipeline leakage, which lays a foundation for subsequent pattern recognition.
