As a destructive geological disaster, landslide disasters often pose threats to people's lives, property and living environment, and restrict the sustainable development of social economy. In order to better protect and manage the threats and losses brought about by landslides,it is extremely important and urgent to carry out landslide hazard risk assessment studies. The northeastern Yunnan region is located in the northeast of Yunnan Province and is an area where landslides have developed more severely in Yunnan Province.Due to the diversity of topography and geomorphology, the highly active tectonic movements, the relatively developed river systems, and the intensity and frequency of human activities, landslide disasters have been developed with many distribution points. Therefore, the study on the risk assessment of landslide geology disasters in northeastern Yunnan is not only an urgent requirement for the prevention and reduction of geological disasters, but also a historical mission to promote the sustainable socio-economic development in northeastern Yunnan.Based on the basic geo-geographical data of the study area and the 2016 high-resolution remote sensing satellite imagery, this paper obtains landslide disaster data through a combination of indoor remote sensing interpretation and field survey. At the same time, this paper also analyzed the current development characteristics of landslide disasters.Based on a comprehensive consideration of computer performance and evaluation accuracy, the study area is divided into 1km × 1km evaluation unit grids, and an information model is used to conduct a risk assessment study of landslide hazards in northeastern Yunnan.According to the evaluation results, the landslide hazards in the study area were divided into extremely high risk areas, high risk areas, middle risk areas, and low risk areas.Comparing the evaluation results with the actual investigation results,it was found that the risk assessment of landslide hazards is basically consistent with the distribution of actual landslide disaster points, and has certain scientific and practicality. The main conclusions obtained are as follows:(1)The characteristics of geological and geographical environment in the northeastern Yunnan region are systematically summarized and the conditions for the formation of landslide hazards are revealed.T This paper summarizes and analyzes the geo-geographical environment characteristics of the study area from many aspects such as topography, meteorology, hydrology, geological structure, stratum lithology and human engineering activities. On this basis, the conditions for the formation of landslide hazards were studied, which laid the foundation for the interpretation of landslides.(2)A complete set of landslide disaster remote sensing interpretation signs was established, landslide disasters were interpreted by remote sensing and surveys, and landslide disaster point data were obtained. The use of high-resolution remote sensing images to carry out landslide geological disaster research has the advantages of high efficiency, strong timeliness, wide field of vision, and time-saving effort. It is an effective research method.(3)The index system for landslide hazard assessment in the study area was constructed, and an information model was used to evaluate the landslide hazard. The assessment map of the landslide hazard was obtained. The evaluation results were verified to be reasonable and have certain guiding significance.Slope, slope direction, elevation, distance from fault zone, distance from river system, engineering geological rock group, rainfall amount, vegetation coverage and human engineering activity were selected for evaluation. The evaluation results are divided into 6 extremely high risk areas,5 high risk areas,6 middle risk areas and 3 low risk areas.(4)According to the zoning results of landslide geology disaster risk assessment in the study area, corresponding prevention measures and recommendations were proposed for each subarea.
