With the rapid development of the world economy, earth resources are also rapidly depleting. In international relations, the distribution and scramble of resources affect the cooperation and confrontation between nations. The shortage of water resources has been increasingly concerned by the international community. In particular, freshwater resources are directly related to the basic survival and life of the people of a country. Therefore, the term "water resources" in this article refers specifically to freshwater resources. The two countries are adjacent to each other, facing each other across the Straits of Johor, and the geopolitical links are extremely close. In addition, since the modern times, the two countries have long formed the historical relationship of "fate community." Although Singapore gained autonomy in 1959,it relied on Malaysia in many ways, such as military security, drinking basic fresh waterand other basic items. In particular,in terms of basic fresh water resources,Singapore relied heavily on Malaysian supplies. In the relationship between the two countries, the issue of water resources plays a decisive role.Due to the excessive dependence of Singapore on the water supply relationship,Malaysia often uses water requirements to pressure Singapore, thus affecting Singapore's foreign policy. In order to safeguard the country's sovereign independence and water resources security, after years of efforts,Singapore's water supply structure has become increasingly rational, and the dependence of water resources on Malaysia has gradually weakened. In general, the issue of water resources is an important variable factor affecting relations between Malaysia and Malaysia, and has become a barometer of the good or bad relations between the two countries. The analysis of the impact of water resources on the relations between Malaysia and Malaysia is mainly based on the perspective of interdependence theory. Therefore, using water relations as a perspective to observe and understand the changes and development of the relations between the two countries is not only feasible but also of practical significance. The analysis of the impact of water resources on the relations between Malaysia and Malaysia is mainly based on the perspective of interdependence theory. In order to help us understand the future direction of relations between Malaysia and Malaysia more clearly, studying the vulnerability and sensitivity of Singapore's dependence on water resources in Malaysia.
