The standard model(SM)of particle physics is a successful gauge symmetry theory,but it can not be regarded as the ultimate theory of describing nature.So there are a lot of new physical models beyond the standard model(BSM).In current and future high-energy experiments,it is found that any deviation from the SM predictions could be valuable information about new physics beyond the SM.The elementary Goldstone Higgs(EGH)scenario is one possible new physical model,which is based on an elementary scalar sector with a larger global symmetry than that in the SM.This model predicts the existence of multiple EGH bosons,in which the lighter EGH bosons are regarded as the observed Higgs bosons.It almost has the same couplings with the SM fermions and the EW gauge bosons as those for the SM Higgs boson.Thus,this model can satisfy the experimental constraints from the Higgs data at the LHC.It can be modify a number of the observable physical quantities,and produces rich physical signals in the present or future collider experiments.In the SM,pair production of the Higgs boson mainly comes from the contributions of triangle diagram and the box diagram via gluon fusion and its destructive interference make the total production cross section smaller.Therefore,this process is sensitive to the new physics.In this paper,we study the pair production of the EGH bosons at the LHC.The results of the study show that the self-coupling of the EGH bosons is strongly suppressed relevant to the SM self-coupling,so the resonant contribution of the heavy scalar is very small and SM-like triangle diagram contribution is strongly suppressed.So the total production cross section mainly comes from the box diagram contribution and its value can be signicantly enhanced with respect to the SM prediction.Our research results have some significance guidings for the LHC Run II to detect the EGH model through this process.
