Cyclin-dependent kinase(CDK)plays an extremely important role in the regulation of cell cycle in eukaryotic cells. The CDK inhibitor(CKI/KRP)refers to a class of proteins that inhibit CDK activity through binding to the CDK complex. The gene was found in all angiosperms, indicating that the gene is important for normal plant development.Earlier studies have shown that overexpression of the gene leads to a series of changes in the morphology of the plant, such as a decrease in plant size,a change in leaf shape,a decrease in the number of cells, and an increase in the size of cells. The purpose of this experiment was to understand the distribution and expression of the gene in crops, and to analyze the role of the gene family in crops. This experiment selected crops including rice, corn, cabbage and canola. These plants were combined with other model plants to construct a phylogenetic tree.Combining the model, selection pressure, and expression analysis, and predict the influence on crops of CKI/KRP genes Family based on these results. The protein sequence data used in the analysis were mainly from the phytozome database, and the expression data were from several published measurements.Analytical tools such as MEME,EasyCodeML,and R are used. The results of the phylogenetic analysis have shown that CKI/KRP genes family can be divided into two major categories. In the article, the two categories are named Cladel and Clade2.Both of these categories include dicotyledonous and monocotyledonous plants,so these crops genes are found in both of these two categories;in addition, crops such as cabbage and rape, which belong to dicotyledons, are further subdivided in these two categories. From the motif analysis, the gene motif in the Clade2 branch has a larger change than the motif in the Cladel gene, and the exon-intron structure is also different, indicating the gene expression in these two classes. There may be a certain degree of change in the function or function;the subsequent analysis of selection pressure shows that Cladel is more conservative than Clade2,and there are significant changes site in these gene sequences, further indicating the possibility of the existence of functional differentiation between these two types of genes.Accord to gene expression, the expression levels of these crops are significantly different in different tissues. For multiple copies in rape and soybean, these multiple copies express complementarity and show the possible of Sub-functionalization.This experiment first gave the evolutionary history and model of the KRP genes in angiosperms, and detailed analysis of the KRP genes of soybean, rape, rice and corn showed the possible of functional differentiation of the KRP genes of these crops. The detail analysis results of evolution of the KRP genes and lays a foundation for the further study of KRP genes evolution and functional identification.
