With the development of new media and computer technology,the form of map is becoming more and more diverse.Map users also put various requirements for maps.As a new type of map media,which is suitable for users to interact and personalize the interactive method of maps,online mapping system emerges as the times require.The appearance of the online mapping system provides the convenience for the map users to realize the personalized map visualization scheme,and also puts some professional requirements for the online mapping users.How to reduce the requirements of online mapping system to users and to improve the fault tolerance and applicability of the system has become the focus of scholars' research.From the point of view of online cartography users,eye tracking technology is introduced to study users' cognition and behavior in online cartography.The specific research contents are as follows:Theoretical research:This paper summarizes and expounds the online mapping system from three aspects:the distribution of the function rationalization,the independent customization of the thematic map,the interface oriented demand.The online map cognition is divided into two parts:map symbol cognition and map spatial cognition.After the detailed process,it is proposed that the maps in the online mapping system have the characteristics of identity,difference and professionalism.On the basis of this,the reasons for the operational difficulties of online mapping system are summarized as map knowledge volume,common spatial magnification effect,mapping cognitive bias and system interface design.Experimental design and result statistics:the study introduced eye tracking technique and selected 30 subjects randomly in Wuhan mapping units and scientific research institutes to carry out eye tracking experiments.The experiment process needs three tasks:Map resource browsing and query,map basic operation and thematic map customization.And thematic map customization is divided into three secondary tasks:classification color mapping,chart thematic mapping and symbol visualization.After the experiment,the remaining 22 experimental data were statistically analyzed.The cognitive behavior and error analysis of online mapping users:the analysis of the user's basic cognition and behavior path and the behavior path of thematic customization respectively.The user's behavior roadmap is drawn.The error is divided into two categories:target location error and basic operation error.Specific analysis of the deviation between customized results and expected targets and user corrective actions.The analysis of user cognitive characteristics of online mapping:extracting the behavior characteristics of online mapping users,dividing the user's basic behavior into identification behavior,judgment behavior and operation behavior;studying the user cognition and behavior mechanism,and summarizing the user's overall cognitive characteristics.The analysis of user cognitive differentiation is divided into blind cognition,goal cognition,learning cognition and memory cognition.Finally,the user behavior design scheme of online mapping system is proposed,which can be summarized as three functions of improving user behavior effect,enhancing user behavior connection,paying attention to results and feedback.
