Low visibility weather is an important factor to induce road traffic accidents.Especially when the highway is in low-visibility weather,and extremely heavy traffic accidents can easily cause loss of people and property.Therefore,accurately and timely detecting the visibility value of expressway,providing timely warning information for high-speed traffic departments and making corresponding early warning response is of great significance for the safe operation of expressways.With the improvement of image processing technology and the intensive video surveillance system on the expressway,video surveillance has become the main method of highway road condition detection.Therefore,this article uses the video image of highway to measure the visibility,and uses the method of spatio-temporal interpolation to achieve the entire high-speed spatial distribution of visibility.The results of the study show that:(1)There is a high correlation between the visibility of freeway and the gray mean square of interest panes.At different visibility levels,the location of optimal interest panes is changed.From low to high visibility,the overall position of the optimal interest pane is near and far,under low visibility,the white marking line on the expressway and the railings on both sides of the road are under high visibility at the junction of the sky and the black target.(2)In order to improve the adaptability of the model,unified training image samples at three sites from the simulation,from the simulation results,it can be seen that the visibility of highway visibility and the gray mean square error of the image interest pane show a significant exponential relationship,and the comprehensive model determination coefficient is reached.0.780.After error verification,it is found that when the visibility is less than 500m,the absolute error is between 0-41.6m,and the visibility increases after the visibility is greater than 500m,but considering that only low visibility weather will affect the safety operation of the expressway,Therefore,the low-visibility video detection model can meet the detection requirements of general highway sections.(3)Using the highway low-visibility video detection model to calculate the visibility value of different sections at high speed,and using space-time hybrid interpolation method to realize the spatial distribution of visibility of the entire highway.The distribution of the visibility of the expressway can be released in real time,providing timely warning information for the highway management department.
