Diode-Pumped solid-state Laser?DPL?is excited by diode laser with solid material as its working substance.Belongs to DPL,there are several distinct advantages,involving high efficiency,small volume and long lifetime as well as.More importantly,DPL possesses high output energy,high peak power and effective device structure through the pulse mode.Furthermore,DPL has positive applied effects on photo-communication,laser radar,laser medicine,laser chemistry,laser processing,science research,national defense and military,which is the main focus of solid laser technology development.This study researches the Nd:YVO4/KTP laser of LD pumping by using theoretical research and experimental research,acquiring21.02%light-light slew rate.The main contents of this research are as follows.Firstly,this thesis overviews and summarizes the development history and tendency of LD pumping solid-state laser.Additionally,the new researches at home and abroad about Nd:YVO4 crystal in LD pumping are elaborated.Besides,this thesis introduces the laser characteristic parameter of Nd-doped ions crystals,which is contributed to defining the significance of the research.Secondly,the rate equations are mainly adopted to analyze the input and output characteristics of LD pumping.Following this,the theoretical result is processed by means of numerical modeling in order to provide theoretical evidence for experimental research.Through the research about intracavity frequency doubling theory,the relation between doubled frequency luminous power and basic frequency luminous power is acquired.Thirdly,based on the thermally induced losses and thermal lens effect of laser,this research studies the heating effect model of laser crystal.According to the relevant research results,the relations between crystal heating effect and the pumping power are founded.Moreover,the research analyzes the influence of the heating effect on the solid-state laser.Additionally,this thesis calculates the Gauss beam mode parameter of resonant cavity to support the optimal design of resonant cavity.Fourthly,this research implements the experiment for exploring the Nd:YVO4/KTP intracavity frequency doubled laser and analyze the phase matching characteristics of KTP crystals.When the LD pumping power is 1W,the maximum green light output is 210.2mW and the light-light slew rate is 21.02%.
