2.3?m all-solid-state lasers with eye safe wavelength have not only all the advantages of solid state lasers,but also LD lasers.Through the unremitting efforts of many excellent scientific researchers,in addition to scientific research field,2.3?m all-solid-state lasers are widely used in medicine,communications,environmental testing,military and other important fields.Stimuatated Raman scattering is one of the most important means to realize the frequency conversion of light in nonlinear optics,and it is also a key research direction to obtain 2.3?m laser in solid state lasers.In this thesis,a LD is used as the pumping source,by taking the Tm:YAP with the Tm3+doping concentration of 3at.%as the laser crystal,and taking the a-cut YVO4 as the Raman gain medium,a actively Q-switched all-solid-state Raman laser is obtained,the centre wavelength of which is 2377 nm.The specific content of our work is shown as following:In theoretical research,based on the quasi three level rate equations model of Tm3+laser,the rate equations of actively Q-switched Tm:YAP/YVO4 Raman laser is established.The related parameters of the Tm:YAP laser crystal and the YVO4 Raman medium are found,by using the MATLAB software,the changes of different photon number density with time in the cavity are stimulated.The rate equations is normalized,and then the normalized rate equations is solved by classical four order method of Runge-Kutta method.Meanwhile,the effect of some parameters on the normalized Raman photon number density are discussed.In experimental research,a Tm:YAP crystal is used as the laser gain mediun to generate continuous wave 1.99?m laser output and the performances of the laser are studied.The output performances of the acousto-optic Q-switched Tm:YAP laser are further studied.Insert a YVO4 crystal into the acousto-optic Q-switched Tm:YAP laser with stability laser output,and then the 1.99?m pulse laser coupling into the YVO4 crystal and the Stimulated Raman scattering effect occurres in it.Finally,the 2.3?m raman laser is abtained and the performances of it are studied and discussed.
