In 2012 to 2014,meiofaunal groups and abundance, nematode community structure and stress evaluation,as well as classification were studied at four stations, namely DS,HS,MZ,PT at island sandy beaches respectively?Dongshan Island and Huoshan Island in Zhangzhou City,Meizhou Island in Putian City,Pingtan Island in Pingtan County in Fujian province. The main results are as follows:1?16 meiofaunal assemblage in sandy beaches in Fujian Province were identified, including Nematoda,Copepoda,Polychaeta,Oligochaeta,Gastrotricha,Nauplii,Halacaroidea,Turbellaria,Rotifera,Ostracoda,Isopoda,Tardigrata,Amphipoda,Kinorhyncha,Insecta and other unidentified species. The free-living marine nematodes were first dominant in sampling stations except Meizhou Island, shared ratio 34.75%-66.33%,the second dominant groups in each station were different.2)The annual meiofaunal abundance at different sample stations showed significantly difference. The annual average abundance at the stations of DS,HS,MZ and PT were973.93±760.79 ind·10 cm-2,189.86±147.07 ind·10 cm-2,276.8±335.31 ind·10 cm-2,810.87±696.75 ind·10 cm-2,respectively.Seasonal meiofaunal abundance in the same sampling station also showed significantly difference.Horizonal distribution showed abundance at low tidal level>middle tidal level>high tidal level.49.98%-80.48%of meiofauna distributed in surface.3)Dominant genera of PT sampling station were Theristus?13.48%?,Metachromadora?11.33%?,Mesacanthion?6.71%?,Rhynchonema?6.64%?,Epacanthion?6.24%?,Microlaimus?5.57%?.Seasonal nematode dominant genera in the same sampling station also showed some difference,K-dominance curves of nematode cummunity at PT station showed Spring,Summer and Autumn shared similar dominance,Winter showed significant difference from other three seasons, with higher dominance.Feeding types at PT station were 1B?32.19%?>2A?31.32%?>2B?31.12%?>1A?5.37%?,2A and 1B dominated in Spring and Summer,2B and 1B dominated in Autumn and Winter. The juvenile of nematode accounted for 45.47%,the ratio of female and male was 1.10:1.Dominant genera in four sampling stations in the same season?Summer?were?dominance higher than 5%?Theristus?11.22%??Oncholaimus?10.23%??Neochromadora?10.23%??Lauratonema?8.57%??Metachromadora?8.44%??Rhynchonema?6.36%?.Dominant genera showed significant difference in different stations.Feeding types at DS and HS stations was dominated by 2A,the ratio were 57.98%,50.57%,respectively;MZ and PT stations was dominated by 2A,shared ratio 41.78%and 42.53%,respectively.1A was lowest in all stations in each season.4)Nematode diversity index in sandy beaches in Fujian Province showed that, biodiversity in Autumn at PT stations was the highest, and in Autumn at HS stations was lowest. The biodiversity in Summer at four stations were PT>DS>HS>MZ.Biodiversity and Caswell neutral model indicated that the sampling station of HS in Autumn was under some kind of stress.5)154 nematode species belonging to 118 genera,35 family from four sampling stations were identified. And six new species, namely Lauratonema macrostoma sp.nov.,Lauratonema dongshanense sp.nov.,Metadesmolaimus zhanggi sp.nov.,Conilia unispiculum sp.nov.,Pheronous donghaiensis sp.nov.,Trissonchulus latispiculum sp.nov.,and two new records,Trissonchulus benepapillosus?Schulz,1935?,Trissonchulus oceanus Cobb 1920 were described and illustrated in detail, with dichotomous key or pictorial key for Lauratonema,Metadesmolaimus,Conilia,Pheronous and Trissonchulus were given.
