In 2014-2015,meifaunal groups and abundance, nemaotode community structure, diversity and classification were studied at different habitats in Xiamen Bay(Mangroves, intertidal and subtidal zones in Baiha Island). The main results are as follows:1)14 meiofaunal assemblage in mud sediments in Xiamen Bay were identified, including Nematoda,Copepoda,Polychaeta,Oligochaeta,Nemertean,Kinorhyncha,Amphipoda,Isopoda,Phoronida,Ostracoda,Bivalvia,Halacaroidea,Tardigrata and other unidentified groups. The free-living nematodes was first dominant in four mangroves and intertidal zone of Baiha Island, occupying 90.2-99.8% and the second dominant group was Copepoda. The nematodes were also first dominant in subtidal zone of Baiha Island, cccupying 66.67-91.68% and the second dominant group was Polychaeta, occupying 8.15%.2)The distribution of meifaunal abundance in Xiamen Bay in summer as follows: The average meiofaunal abundance of four mangroves was 727.51±322.69 ind·10 cm-2 and the meiofaunal abundance of XMB,HCW,XTW and DDXD were 378.81±440.22 ind·10 cm-2,921.21±661.01 ind·10 cm-2,593.27±299.17 ind·10 cm-2,1075.08±309.92 ind·10 cm-2,respectively.The average meiofaunal abundance in intertidal zone of Baiha Island is 1112.31±857.97 ind·10 cm-2,and 86.76±48.03 ind·10 cm-2 in subtidal zone. The distribution of different habitats showed abundance in intertidal sediments > mangroves sediments> subtidal sediments.Meiofaunal abundance in intertidal zone and subtidal zone from Baiha Island also showed significantly difference.3)In mangroves habitats, there were not common dominant genera found, which only exist up to three stations. These genera are Chromaspirina?Ptycholaimellus and Terschellingia.Different dominant mangrove plants in mangroves affect nematode community structure in sediments. The ratio of nematode feeding types in four mangroves showed that 2B(33.33%)> 1B(31.25%)> 2A(22.92%)> 1A(12.5%).The nematode juvenile accounted for 41.26%,the ratio of female and male was 1.15:1.The dominant nematode genera were almost different in intertidal and subtidal zone of Baiha Island, the common genus between them was Dorylaimopsis, respectively cccupying 11.68% and 11.78%.In summer, the ratio of nematode feeding types in subtidal zone showed that 2A(44.57%)> 1B(25.76%)> 1A(18.90%)> 2B(10.77%),and the ratio of nematode feeding types in intertidal zone showed that 2A(37.21%)> 1B(32.64%)> 2B(24.06%)> 1A(6.08%).The dominant feeding types in Baiha Island were 1B and 2A.The nematode juvenile from intertidal zone accounted for 38.55%,the ratio of female and male was 1.64:1;the nematode juvenile in subtidal zone accounted for 34.58%,the ratio of female and male was 0.52:1.4)Nematode diversity index from different habitats in Xiamen Bay showed that, among mangroves stations, biodiversity in HCW was the highest, and biodiversity in DDXD was the lowest;comparing annual biodiversity variaiton in intertidal zone of Baiha Island, biodiversity in summer in BHJ-IA was the highest, and that in autumn at the same station was the lowest.Biodiversity in intertidal zone explained it has a highest in summer, and relatively lower in winter and spring;comparing stations in subtidal zone, biodiversity in BHJ-S1 was highest, and was lowest in BHJ-S4.Caswell neutral model indicated that all sampling stations in Xiamen Bay were not affected via contamination.5)48 nematode genera belonging to 18 family in magnrove habitats,55 nematode genera belonging to 25 family and 81 genera belonging to 29 family respectively in intertidal and subtidal zone of Baiha Island, were identified. And 7 new species, namely Anoplostoma tumidum sp.nov.,Anoplostoma paraviviparum sp.nov.,Parodontophora aequiramus sp.nov.,Parodontophora huoshanensis sp.nov.,Parodontophora irregularis sp.nov.,Parodontophora microseta sp.nov.and Parodontophora paramicroseta sp.nov.,were described and illustrated in detail, with pictorial key for Parodontophora was given.
